PATENT ATTORNEY

At COPA, we have numerous exciting projects in the making, aimed at the future development of our company, and we are experiencing a growing demand of our high-quality patent advice. We are therefore looking a skilled and motivated patent attorney with a technical background in mechanics or electronics to further strengthen our team.

WHO ARE YOU?

  • You hold a master’s degree in natural sciences or in engineering with a good understanding of mechanics, electronics and/or software technology.

  • You have at least two years of experience as a patent attorney in a patent firm or in-house. Ideally, you have already passed the EQE or parts thereof.

  • You have excellent cooperation skills and like to discuss solutions with your colleagues. You have an open and positive mind.

  • You have good communication skills in English and preferably also in Danish, both written and oral.

  • You like to take responsibility for your own work as well as the collaborative effort and quality of COPA.

  • You are passionate about business development and interested in expanding our client base.

  • You strive to continuously stay up to date on developments in patent practice and want to contribute to knowledge-sharing and improving the overall quality of COPA’s services.

 

As a patent attorney at COPA, your main tasks will include:

  • Drafting and prosecuting patent applications

  • Business development

  • Providing patent strategical advice

  • Opposition and appeal work

  • Patent litigation support

  • Novelty searches and freedom-to-operate analyses
